Care Instructions for Wool Covers
Step-by-step instructions for washing, lanolizing and caring for your wool covers.

Washing Your Wool Cover

1. Dissolve a teaspoon of baby shampoo or a lanolizing wool wash (Eucalan and Kookaburra work well) in a sink full of lukewarm water.
2. Gently work the water through the cover by squeezing and swishing it (make sure the tabs are closed or the hook tape may damage the fabric).
3. Soak at least thirty minutes, periodically swishing it around.
4. Roll the cover in a towel or run it through the spin cycle in your washer and hang or lay flat to dry.  No need to rinse!

Lanolizing Your Wool Cover

1. Put ¼ tsp. lanolin and a few drops of baby shampoo in a small clean container with a lid.  I use an old yeast jar.  Fill the jar about ¾ full of very hot water.  Some people like to use boiling water.  Put the lid on and shake it till the lanolin is dissolved, then add this mixture to a sink full of lukewarm water.
2. Work the solution through your cover.  Soak it at least thirty minutes (longer never hurt).
3. Roll the cover in a towel or run it through the spin cycle in your washer and hang or lay flat to dry.  You’re done!!!
